Before you buy a SELF-PUBLISHING COURSE (UK)... read this!

By Karen Stanley | Mabel and Stanley Publishing
There are a LOT of self-publishing courses out there in the UK (and beyond). Video libraries, masterclasses, memberships and packages costing thousands.
Some are brilliant. Some get bought with real enthusiasm and never finished.
So before I tell you about my Self-Publishing Academy, here’s what I think makes a self-publishing course worth your money... whoever you buy it from.
1. Accountability
Pre-recorded videos are useful, but they don’t notice if you stop showing up. A structured timeline and a real person to check in with make it far more likely you’ll finish.
2. Relevance
You need step-by-step guidance on the decisions that matter for YOUR book (formatting, KDP, categories, keywords, cover, pricing, description), not generic advice that could apply to any book in any year.
3. Access to an expert
When you get stuck (and you will... everyone does), you need to be able to ask someone who knows the answer.
What’s inside the Self-Publishing Academy
The Self-Publishing Academy is a three-month self-led programme for writers who want to self-publish their book themselves, with expert guidance.
It includes:
step-by-step video tutorials that walk you through the entire publishing process
WhatsApp support from me
3 online monthly accountability Q&As
access to Get Shit Done sprints!
lifetime access to the video tutorials and self-publishing resources for this book and every one after it
It starts on Tuesday 1 December.
Early bird price ends 31 October at midnight
The Academy is £997. Sign up by Saturday 31 October, and it’s £847, or three instalments of £299.
Is it right for you?
It’s right for you if you have a finished (or nearly finished) manuscript and want to publish it yourself, properly and professionally, with support to get it right.
It’s not right for you if you’d rather someone did the publishing for you. That’s what my First Draft to Published service is for.
And if you haven’t finished your book yet... finish it first. FriWriMo, my free November writing challenge, might help [link to FriWriMo Blog].
